Slush Puppie Products have been available in the Erie area for over 29 years. John H. Dauer purchased the franchised product as an addition to his family-operated Candy and Tobacco Wholesale business. His son, Jim, managed the Slush Puppie division and grew the business. In 1981, Jim and his wife, Joanne, purchased the Slush Puppie business from the family.
Jim and Joanne have two children, Jim II and Melissa. Jim Sr. has retired. Joanne now operates the business with their son, Jim II. South Shore Slush Puppie, Inc. employs 9 full and part-time people with the majority serving more than ten years.
South Shore Slush Puppie, Inc, services 23 counties in Northwestern Pennsylvania, Western New York, and Ashtabula County in Ohio. Our 1,000 plus accounts receive their products on our own trucks with scheduled delivery every other week.
Slush Puppie Brands have expanded over the years to include Slush Puppie Plus, Thelma's Lemondade, Frozen Hawaiian Punch, Pacific Bay, and Lanikai. South Shore Slush Puppie now carries a full-line of Gold Medal© Concession equip,ent and supplies, FUNacho nacho supplies, and J & J Pretzel with strong sales in popcorn and nachos.
